Leadership transition at JDH Idaho: Todd Gearheart to step down, David Bauman named new general manager

September 8, 2025

JDH’s Twin Falls, Idaho, office, where outgoing General Manager Todd Gearheart has guided operations and incoming General Manager David Bauman will carry the legacy forward.

JDH is announcing a leadership transition in its Idaho operations. Effective December 1, 2025, longtime General Manager Todd Gearheart will step down from his role and transition into an advisory position. Current Assistant General Manager David Bauman will assume the role of general manager.

Todd’s career with JDH began in Washington and evolved through nearly every operational role. His move to Idaho in the early 2000s marked a turning point for the region, which has since grown from one plant to three and includes a strategic partnership with Double J Milling.

JDH COO and President Aaron Reid shared, “Todd’s leadership has been key to our success in Idaho. He’s earned deep respect by leading with integrity, delivering results and always thinking ahead.

Todd will remain engaged in an advisory capacity for the next few years, supporting the transition and maintaining strong relationships with customers and partners. He expressed full confidence in David’s promotion, stating, “David understands the business, the team and the strategy. He’s earned the respect of our people and our customers, and I’m confident he’ll continue to build on what we’ve started here.”

JDH CEO and Chairman of the Board Jefferson Hillman added, “Few people, across any industry, understand their customers, suppliers and operations as deeply as Todd. His leadership in Idaho is truly exceptional. My family is grateful for Todd’s stewardship of the Idaho region and his impact throughout JDH. His expertise will be sorely missed, but his legacy will live on through the successful business he’s built and the leaders he’s mentored.”

We thank Todd for his decades of service and look forward to David continuing that tradition.
